Is it because it’s a new CPU/chipset and the program needs to be updated? Need someone with a 5830K/5960X to try it?

Well that's what I was hoping. I figured intel would have their own software updated.

5930K here with Windows 10 (build 9860).

It fails, with "QPI Link rate Test Failed. Error while retrieving QPI Link rate".

I suspect the *reason* it fails is because QPI hasn't been used (to communicate between the core and uncore) since the earliest i7s - goodness only knows why it's looking for it!

This is a 4930k guys and it passes, so must be the newer chipset as you thought.

Run the test without QPI as the Haswell chips don't use it. Go to settings and select edit - this then allows you to untick the qpi test. Then you can run all the rest of the test ok - mine passed. Must change my sig again lol
