NVIDIA Video Shows Off Impressive Turf Effects - tech

Bout time this has come, sick of them crap grass effects in 2d in most games. Next we need gravel and stones based on this grass tech. Then we need proper 3d rain drops and maybe puddles that splash all over :p

Yeah I've looked at those it's just a shame they show quite a few demos yet only release 1 or 2 for the general public to play around with.

Agreed. I do like to have a play with the demos and the pendulum one was awesome and I could show the wife why I had spent another £700 on yet another monitor :D

I will tweet to Bryan Burke and see if he knows what we will get to play with.

I have 4 tech demos on my wish list that I hope they release to the general public, The water Physx demo they just showcased, The turf Physx demo, Fur from the 700 series and Fracture from the 700 series :)

Wow, that is something else, impressive :)

I wonder if the witcher 3 will get some of this? Cdpr are using quite a lot of gameworks features and it is a game that appears to have plenty of foliage/grass.

That would be awesome if they did. Super excited for The Witcher 3 :D

I hope not, as UBI are currently on my naughty list and shan't be receiving any cash from me till they start to show some real love for the PC gamers.

They are trying to milk as much as they can - those games cost a lot to develop, my main issue with them is that they still don't have it on Steam and I am not keen on buying it elsewhere as Steam has proven itself to be a good cloud game platform.

Either way Far Cry 4 is a must have game if you liked Far Cry 3...

Yer, I completed FC3 twice to get both endings and really did enjoy it but if they do the naughty and drop effects so the PC version doesn't shine or fix frames, so the PC version doesn't shine, I will stand my ground and keep my cash.
