Below is what I have so far and budget is under £1000 inc VAT.

Use is gaming, game server hosting and streaming and some design.

I currently have the following I am planning to reuse but happy to be challenged on them...

SSDs + 2TB drive
Monitor (1200p)
280X
keyboard + mouse

Rest of my current rig will be reused as a Minecraft rig for my kids.

What I have in the basket so far..

YOUR BASKET
1 x EPIC BUNDLE: Intel 4790K, Gigabyte Z97X-Gaming 7, Kingston 16GB 2400MHz Kit, Superflower 750W PSU & FREE STUFF!! **£50 SAVING** £555.97

Bits I am unsure about are

1. The case and its stock fans should I replace them or is there a better case? (I want this as quiet as possible)
2. 280X only got this 10 months ago so determined to use it but am I crippling the build?
3. What fans should I pickup for push pull on the cooler?
4. is what I have the best use of my budget?

Thank you in advance

1) Case is great. The fans hmm, well the system I built for a friend he says he thinks the fans are a bit loud, I think they are fine, can always 7volt them later on.

2) will be fine, 1080P gaming its fine.

3) dont bother, does sod all improvements.

4) arrrr (pirate for yes)

Thank you for the responses thats great.

Only other thing that has got me thinking.. how does the above compare to the MATX below? I really like the small look but didn't know if i would run into issues with cooling or expanded later to SLI 970 GTX's etc?

Well the PSU is still in its own compartment so that's dealt with.

The CPU is low heat.

A single GPU will be fine I think. Maybe for two you might want cards that exhaust out the rear.

Thanks again

You'd need to swap the 280mm AIO for a 240, if you go for that case.

So if I switched to the h100i then the two systems are pretty much on par with each other in terms of power and future proofing? Was worried about heat on the mATX for LANs and if I have to put more fans in for extract what that would do to the noise as I like a quiet if not silent setup.

Thanks

On the fence really, small case does seem to look really nice if i get some nice LEDs for it, just not used to mATX been able to complete with ATX. If I am going to SLI in the future I assume its just risky?

Also would another mATX case give me more flexibility ?

Thanks

Moleh

both look decent with exception of PSU, I wouldn't trust "SuperFlower" and would get something like corsair rm750 semi modular, as few pounds extra but guaranteed quality.

Thank you. The RAM is also out of stock anyone suggest an alternative please?

Also read the msi mATX board suffers from needing a high core for clocking, anyone know if I am going to have problems getting 4.6 + out of the i7 on this board? Worth paying more for the asus vii gene?

Thanks

Moleh

Nothing wrong with Superflower and they are technically a better PSU than what the RM is made by.

The board using a high Vcore could be because of early BIOS, later ones may improve this.

The Superflower psu's are very good. The Corsair RM is nothing special, and if you are going for a 750W then the Superflower Leadex or EVGA Supernova G2 is a far better choice.

Thanks looks good!

So below is what I am thinking and have used most of the advise. Does this seem ok? I am going to dwell on this Vs the 540 case just so hard to choose love both cases!

H105 is in stock (wasn't yesterday/friday) this has a thicker rad than the H100i so performance is a touch better.

It also does fit.
