Best Sites for Browsing Fashionable Mens Clothing?

I always find it hard to find a leather jacket that looks "right". Get it wrong and you look like you belong in the 80's down the social or like a true modern fashion victim. Personally I'd be scouring the charity and vintage shops for a quality but stylish jacket that won't cost too much. That way you also get it pre worn in :p

Totally agree with that. Leather jackets can go badly wrong... Black ones especially, you either look like a wannabe biker or some kind of emo/goth.

Hades, that's just the kind of style I'm interested. I'll have to see if I can find it in the flesh somewhere. Still not sure whether my standard t-shirt/shirt style would go...

EDIT: just saw they are made to order so no seeing it in the flesh first!

Oh and doing the top button up without a tie?!

That's how we roll...

I refuse to pay > £40 on a shirt.

Shame because they are so much better than the cheap tat you get from next and topman etc.. The material is a whole lot nicer (although I don't include TM Lewin in that) and cut generally better too.

I generally buy CK shirts (usually when Moss Bros have a 3 for 2 sale...) for this reason.

If you know what brands to buy (and not saying I do), throwing >£40 aimlessly at any shirt is far more likely to net some overpriced tat than some of the better stuff :|

I often get things from house of frazer when reduced/end of line. Can get quality shirts a lot cheaper than rrp

A lot of stuff is made by the same company (Prominent Europe) in the far east and shipped in, theres little difference other than the actual label.

And? Aside from the fact that may not be the case for every brand of clothing it doesn't remove the fact the fabric is better etc. It's like Foxconn manufacture iPhones and top end Android phones but they also manufacture £50 android phones. One is a lot higher quality than the other.

I only say they are better because I have bought and felt all the ones I've mentioned. I find the best fabric and the best fit is with CK shirts and the next best fabric is CT/Pink. The fabric is generally a heavier weave for starters.

I really like looking at Ted Baker for ideas and try to emulate them. On occasion they have decent prices at their outlets and you can get student discount if that's applicable.

Sorry I was probably unclear (beer and wine) I was agreeing that at the "lower" end, quality is indistinguishable.

TM Lewin or Charles Tyrwhitt.
This may be useful: http://www.ctshirts.co.uk/Outfitlisting.aspx

Speaking of Charles Tyrwhitt, I received a £10 off code from Amazon. Code is AMAZON17 if anyone wants to use it. (No minimum spend)

I really dislike their thinner fabric shirts (Charles Tyrwhitt) because they tend to get ridiculously creased through normal wear. Their non-iron shirts are pretty good though - nice fabric, don't crease and an ok fit. You can't argue with the price either

I just give money to the mens clothing shop at the end of my road and in exchange the woman picks out clothes for me.

Would recommend, men weren't made to clothes shop, hire a woman to do it.

No chance! Granted my GF has good dress sense and often picks out some nice things for me. If I let a random woman in the shop dress me I'd probably end up walking out looking like a train wreck of hipster+boyband+douchebag
