Hello

I am looking to get a gaming laptop; I am looking to spend about £1300-£1400 on it.

Can anyone provide the best "bang for buck" options?

I have been looking at the following. ...

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=LT-168-MS&groupid=959&catid=1828

Or

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=LT-160-MS&groupid=959&catid=1828

I assume the second link is the better laptop due to the 6gb graphics card?

I do like the look of the MSI GS chassis but cant find a laptop in my price range as powerful as the second link.

Any advice or other options appreciated. Options are not limited to the MSI laptops.

Thanks

Hi

Both very good choices and both have very different qualities.

The GT72 has upgradability as it's based on the MXM GPU technology. This means future generations of Nvidia graphics can be put in this.

It's a little bigger that the GS - so less portability.

Both have plenty of storage options so no problem there.

Depends what you are using it for mainly?

Portability = GS
Longevity + up-gradable = GT72

Both award winning so cannot go wrong really.

If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask!

Thanks for the reply.

The main purpose is gaming, portibility is not really a concern.

With regards to the GT72, it seems that the only downside comparible to the GS is no SSD, but this is compensated by the extra 3gb on the graphics card :)
