I was watching a series on BBC last night with Prof Brian Cox and he threw some very interesting comments regarding the vastness of the solar system, number of what could be inhabited planets and the on-going search for terrestrial signals.

It's hard to believe that with the size of the solar system we live in and what's beyond, we're alone!

There has to be something out there!

Baloney. If there's intelligent life out there that made its way through the stars to the earth then clearly they are intelligent enough to not be caught by these Area 51 employees and make their presence better felt.

Not really. Scale it down. Man has invented a flying machine that can take us to the other side of the world, where we sit in english bars drinking Stella and watching re-runs of only fools and horses.

Scale it back up. If I had the technology to travel millions of light years through space, the last thing I would be doing is finding the dumbest of gun toting morons in backwater USA and sticking things up their ass.
