Scissor Mounted Gpu Crossfire (Diagonally mounted 2nd Gpu for air flow)

Why are people so concerned about how their PC looks? Never understood it. Do you look at your case a lot? Do other people come around and admire it?
..

yes i stare at it even whilst gaming, it's right beside the tv, it has to look good

i also think that the side panel should be left off, the Phanteks looks far better at night with the panel off

Cant really see how they makes that much of a difference temperature wise, but there you go :p I would have thought that angling it like that would trap the hot air in even more.

Much better to look at my pc when gaming, cause tbh my scores in online bf4 just make me want to look away.:D

Well guess i have to be totally blind to not see a 24" x 20" x 8" big box sitting about 10 inches away from me..;)

ha ha, it's not so much i mean to stare at it, it's just so bright and glary that it grabs my attention, i stare at the spinning fans.

it's not just a pc, it's a work of art like a Ferrari, a white pc case at night is simply beautiful

Good stuff Ice Shock, I looked at doing this, however lost my nerve. Glad it has worked out. I have a 12 cm SLI bridge and 16X riser, so may have a look at it again in the future.

Ive seen a few atx/matx case chassis that have an additional pcie bracket at 90 degrees. They would achieve a similar result assuming enough clearance for the fans and room for airflow between the card and panel.

What's made me giggle is that nobody has commented on my a4 piece of paper on the floor of the case which is there as a make shift dust filter to basically stop air from being sucked up through the unfiltered bottom vents which does happen lol. The 750D should really come with a filter on them vents.

I'll be getting one of them dust filter kits for there though and removing that piece of paper :P

just made a quick paint image of how the air flow worked better than I thought.

For some reason most of the hot air from the gpu's coolers comes out of the side of the graphics card because of the blower style, so before the top gpu was just sucking in the hot air and hardly any cold air because the gap was too small. But now, because of the angle of gpu2, the hot air comes out pretty much where gpu1's hot air is coming out, so both cards are out putting the same hot air into the same place which is then exhausted, and there is a huge gap like a wind tunnel for the cold air to flow right in.

Tried to make this paint image as accurate as I can from what I can feel of the air flow and what I can see.

Good work and functionality over looks is wise. I hope you have the front fans sucking air in and the top and back pulling air out?

I built mine to play games on, no way do I look at the case when gaming. Cant be fully immersed if you are staring at the innards of a PC. Mine certainly isn't tidy but is optimised for airflow. If I'm gonna stare at something - I'll choose women.

Excellent cooling solution though and it's neat enough!
