Looking to upgrade to the above screen preferably 27" but as they are still expensive maybe a 24"
Got around £250 - £300 cash, it's a tough one but I'm sure there is something out there.
It will be used mainly for BF4, Project Cars and similar games plus some video editing.

Nope, there aren't.

All the 1440p screens are 27" or bigger. And only one of them is 120/144Hz (Asus ROG Swift). And that one costs over double of what your budget is.

There are a couple of 24" 4k monitors, like the Dell UltraSharp UP2414Q, but it's over your budget and it's only 60Hz.

You will have to compromise either on the resolution or refresh rate.

Not that I have much experience on monitors with those characteristics, but I can just tell that there aren't yet any available with all of them.

LG 24GM77 seems interesting (1080p 144Hz), but there aren't many reviews yet available. Here's a thread where it's been discussed.

Actually the LG looks ok for the money, good warranty and should play nicely with my Samsung S23A700D 120hz for dual display.
might just wait a few days to see if any more reviews pop up.
other than that, I was looking at the Asus in this link...

That Asus is only 1080p, your 7970 cards should smash it? Isn't text outside of games a lot harder to see on 27 inch 1080p, as well as images appearing stretched etc?

Get a Qnix QX2710.

27 inches.

It's 1440p.

Dual link DVI only versions all overclock really well (talking 100Hz+, most do 110Hz)

PLS so good colours.

Under your budget.

Drawbacks are 8ms response time (unnoticeable to me), not great stand (I have it on a monitor arm) and you have to import it from South Korea. But there is nothing that can beat high refresh rate, PLS, 1440p in one package.

too bad things like exploding power supplies, dead pixels, and ghosting kill these seemingly amazing packages.

I second the QNIX pay the extra for no dead pixels and mine has been fine so much so im getting a second one for xmas the price difference alone compared to the ROG swung it for me.

But you're not assured to get anything over 60hz, no GSync, and using dual link dvi makes connecting 3 of them a nightmare requiring active DP->DL-DVI adaptors.

You're not assured to get over 60hz, no. But that depends on whether the OP places more importance on resolution or refresh.

G-sync is irrelevant, the OP has an AMD GPU.

Running 3 is also irrelevant, the OP hasn't mentioned running 3 displays, but even if he did, DP to DL DVI is hardly a nightmare. I'm running 2 myself and it's not an issue., it's not ideal but it's hardly a con.

.
That's just it, not sure which is the best to go for, 144hz or 1440, although looking at it the 1440 would cost a lot more than I could afford on a 27" screen.
Thanks for input btw guys.
