Hi Guys,

I currently have two R290s on crossfire.

As you all may know enb has some major issues with crossfire so Im deciding to go nvidia.

Shall i get two 780ti's or just get a single 980 ?

I basically wanna run Skyrim with ENB and with about 50 mods at 60fps on a 1920X1200 resolution monitor.

Whats the best setup for this scenario ?

You might find the extra 1GB fram buffer on the 980 is more useful in Skyrim especially with lots of mods. Is 970 SLI not an option by the way?

Sli is just as bad as crossfire with regards to enb for skyrim. You already have two 4gb cards and can always disable one. I believe a 980 would only be marginally better than a r290 to be honest.

By the way, I run over 150 2k and 4k mods in skyrim, have a workung crossfire setup that gives me solid 60fps even outside with unbelievable level of detail. You just gotta mess around with profiles etc.

Sli 780ti will spank one 980 overall on average fps. Not sure which would be better as single cards.

The one 780ti at 1200 core had slightly better minimum fps than the later sli 780 and my current sli 970's.

In general I found Sli performance disappointing in Skyrim with ENB as it doesn't seem to help those areas where the fps choke. It would just give you 100fps instead of 70fps in some areas.

I think he's just on about for skyrim devious not in general. He already has 290 crossfire that annihilates any single card out there right now.

With regards to skyrim like I said above, sli will be no better than crossfire for Skyrim. And getting a single 980 just for Skyrim is not worth it at all Imo. Have a play around with ccc, radeonpro and your profiles, like I said, I'm locked at 60fps everywhere with around 170 extreme high res mods and that's with 7950 crossfire.

Im trying the realvision enb but with crossfire on i get major problems with DoF and flickering. Ive tried the oblivion profile it dorts out the problem but my vision is all blurry. you know how i can sort it out ?

Ive also tried the assasins creed profile but it just turn off crossfire :(

I know he was on about skyrim, my whole post was based on my experience with different setups in skyrim. No idea why you would assume otherwise.

Pheww.. finally got enb working near perfect but without DoF and getting a consistent 60 + fps everywhere :)
btw _ I'm using the oblivion profile. Now im gonna start putting the mods on see how the fps holds ..

Still wish I could get the depth of field working as it look amazing even though its a bit overrated imo :/

Damn it, I want to go crossfire even more now!

Shame no one is selling an MSI to go with mine or not a mined card

I'm sure there was a tweaked DoF that worked with Crossfire and ENB. Although DynaVision mod is fine for blurring the distant terrain a bit.
