***Motorola Droid Turbo***

looks like a pretty good phone, i would have it over the nexus 6, if it came over here anytime soon

I think you're correct.

BUT if I take Motorola's current offer on the Moto X tonight it will be announced in the morning that it's coming to the UK :D
 
Damn the ballistic nylon version with 64Gb looks pretty sweet!

Not giving up my unlimited data though :p One to look at in a year or so I reckon!
 
This has to be one of, if not the best ~5" android phone out at the moment! Why oh why have Motorola gone through the hassle and expenditure of developing it to only release it for just one carrier in only one country!?

Had this been coming over here I'd have snapped it up in a heartbeat!

I can't help but think this is what the 2014 Moto X should have been.
 
Seriously. I would pay £599 for that thing without blinking... instead...we're lumbered with the larger nexus 6...with a smaller battery...and less capable camera....yeah...that makes sense.

Couldn't agree more! What HTC are trying to do with ultrapixel isn't bad but in that instance, 4MP is too low. The iPhone probably has the best compromise between resolution and quality of the pixels.
 
There's a motorola event in Brazil on 5th November with a small part of the droid turbo on display so hopefully worldwide release. I ordered a moto x today on the sale but have 14 days to return.

Also the motorola droid series has come to UK.

original droid: Milestone
Droid 2: Milestone 2
Droid M : RAZR i
droid RAZR : RAZR
Droid RAZR maxx: RAZR Maxx
Droid HD : RAZR HD

Just none of the ultras come over.

Verizon (I think it was that carrier) did a special discount of ~$100 off the handset price of the Moto x 2014 a few weeks back when bought on contract. A few weeks later the Droid Turbo was announced for the US.

Today, in the UK the Moto X 2014 was discounted by £60 (~$100)...so maybe in a few weeks it'll be its UK announcement...

YAY.

And yeah I agree, HTC has the right idea, even 4mp isn't bad, its just their software is horrible and their camera as lagged, the One M7 had a huge sensor now its behind Sony/Samsung and they did no real work to push it.

Actual have a friend that is a pro photographer and it typically shots in 4mp unless he intends to blow it up.
 
The first phone with 1440p and a reasonable battery for it!

My droid razr maxx HD was one of the best phones I ever had
