Tim Cook officially comes out as gay

Who are you trying to convince. :D

I don't find the need to convince or tell anybody about my sexuality, This is what ***** me off about the Gays.
Do I march down the street shouting I'm straight waving banners & stuff ?
What's the big deal you like ****, So what ?

I know lets have a Straight day with a Carnival & stuff OOOO we are straight we are straight we are straight, Pathetic.

I don't care who is Gay or who is straight. Why do they feel the need to announce it ???

It's because up until very recent times it wasn't considered acceptable. Hence the need to rejoice that it is now, as it's one more step towards equality.

I agree though, a straight day would also be cool. Another excuse to party.

lol. Someone's jealous :D

How many gay footballers do you know? The answer to that question is why sexual orientantion needs to be announced by famous persons.

I don't know any Gay footballers but then I don't know any straight ones, What's your point ?

People haven't been persecuted for being straight though have they.

/blowskiss

I think it's a good thing he's come out and said it. Hopefully more people will follow this trend and look up to him as a mentor/pioneer of some description to not feel afraid or whatever.

Not sure how anybody doesn't know who Tim Cook is unless they don't keep up with any form of current affairs or read any sort of news outlet.

Why would i care if they were gay or stright?

Hardly

I didn't mean personally know, 4T5. And it's not about caring whether they are gay or straight, it's about changing a culture in which being gay is seen as wrong, sinful, disgusting, shameful etc. You may not care about someone's sexual orientation but there are quite a few homophobes who do. It's the homophobes that are abnormal, sinful, disgusting and shameful not the gays - thats the message famous people try to send when they come out.

This is utter rot.
I am relatively up to date, keep abreast of political and world events.
Don't associate that name with Apple, and if you asked 'the population' who runs Apple, most will still say Steve Jobs, and then some will correct themselves and say he is dead, but I don't know who runs it now.

Running a BBC search

I actually recall reading several of those stories, but have obviously blanked the completely unmemorable CEO of Apple from the process.
I don't know who MS CEO is right now either, but I do recall a story saying he was exceptionally well paid, as he was the first CEO without a massive share interest in the company.

This coming our, 'event' might work as publicity stunt to have his name associated with his brand now.
