UKIP The Movie

hang on - UK comedy has ripped into the other parties for years

labour / cons / lib dems have had plenty of stick from comedians

why should Ukip or anyone else for that matter be immune to this?

I believe there's supposed to be a rule where you have talk about all the parties equally, but it seems like this has been thrown out of the window in recent years.

I you watched shows like Splitting Image it was done this way. I don't have a problem UKIP getting some stick if they also give stick to labour / cons / lib dems as well, but this is not happening, something has gone very wrong in the BBC recently

Until your Green Card comes through then you're all good, huh?

What has that go to do with anything?
FYI I have permanent US residence, that means nothing to me beyond the ability to work. It just highlights how fortunate British citizens are to be part of the EU and have freedom to live and work in other EU countries without wasting thousands on lawyers and jumping through petty hoops.

At least i live here and want to fight for a Great Britain, that's not going to happen while we're still in the EU. But carry on being cosy across the pond.

I'm hoping they will teach the BBC a lesson and scrap the licence fee completely.

Oh, and there's this little disgraceful gem:

How people like this have free rain on the TV without any ability for a comeback is astonishing.

The license fee is fine, thanks. The BBC produce some great programs that no commercial channel would produce. That lot is too busy producing rubbish like X-Factor or Benefits Street. The former feeding the brain dead, the later feeding those who just love to hate those less fortunate than themselves.

As for Russell Howard, he's perfectly entitled to mock UKIPS. Just like he mocks many other things, it's called comedy. Perhaps in a UKIP police state that won't be allowed?

The Greens would love the kind of coverage that UKIP gets on Question Time.

The popularity of the Green Party is on the rise yet they don't get TV viewing figures like UKIPS so it seems we are stuck with seeing the mouth breathers on TV because it gets better viewing figures.

As oppose to the crap that is The Voice, Mrs Browns Boys and Strictly Come Dancing? A vast majority of BBC output is brain dead lowest common denominator rubbish as well. The only department that produces anything of merit is it Natural History department.

there has been decades of jokes at the expense of the other parties - you have to expect that if UKIP become more popular then you are going to get more negative press too

also try watching any comedy program (HIGNFY / news quiz etc) - they all give plenty of abuse every week to all parties

doesn’t it show the true fear and loathing of both the media and the political establishment that they have to stoop to junior school levels of name calling and finger pointing?
its so obvious to the real voters ( not some trendy youth demographic) they are running scared they are willing to do anything . The problem is, if UKIP ever get in power if they really are as despotic as the media outlets claim then surely its a bad move to be the one that was throwing muck..

maybe they will send them all to a Gulag ?

First they laugh at you, then they hate you, then they fight you, Then you win!

My Paraphrase ;)

So where are Channel 4's Movies on Cameron, Milliband and Clegg?

Clearly it's more funny (and topical) to take the **** out of UKIP.

What's the problem with that? Will it hurt their feelings? Show up the true nature of the party and their average voter?

UKIP seems a valid target of satire to me.

because it validates them even more. They don't even have a real manifesto and the majority of their supporters live in almost entirely white British parts of the country and genuinely think 20% of the population is Muslim and that 30% of us are unemployed because of the amount of foreigners which they genuinely think is 15% of the population are illegals coming over hear and taking our jobs.

The irony being that the only real increase anyone in this country should be concerned about is the increase in this daily mail type journalism which is creating this ridiculous rhetoric that we the British public are somehow under threat and that our national identity is being changed from under our feet by Muslims and other minorities alike.whilst they feed the stupid scary stories about ****ing Ebola and large poisonous spiders us.

I have Green Card and live in US... I`d hate to see UK leave EU cause then it means I wont be able to arrive in any EU country and do what I want with me British passport.

So suck it up over there, UK is Europe.

On the basis of previous productions from that company it won't be funny. UKIP manages that pretty well without help. They could do a serious documentary on UKIP and it would look like a parody anyway.
