I'm going to be in Bristol this weekend for a stag do and was wondering, as a generalisation, are caps allowed to be worn in pubs and clubs in the area?

Locally any form of head wear is frowned upon and the bouncers will ask you to remove them, I was just curious as to whether this was the case in Bristol / mainland UK too.

Experience says no. Ive yet to find one that does allow caps (not that I even wear a cap though). It's only to allow cctv a clear shot should it be needed.

Do you know what area you are going too?

If its Gloucester road or North Street you'll be fine, a couple of bars in town don't mind but the mainstream clubs & bars will ask you to remove it. I wouldn't bother, saves the hassle of having to carry it.
