Anyone bought a B Grade monitor before?

As it says in the item, ''any reference to warranty is to be ignored. Warranty for this item is 90 days as with all B Grade items''

So you get the item cheap, but with 3 month warranty rather than 1-2-3 years etc.

So if your confident in the product, it should be fine, or if it breaks outside of the 3 month warranty, you are stuck, as opposed to buying it new and having a long warranty period.

I'm sure you can probably phone up OCUK and ask them about the specifics for the B-grade on the item you want as to what's missing, any scratches etc. etc.

i have got a support ticket in but had no responses.

im looking at a 144hz monitor max budget of £240 24" and there are so many to choose from that i dont know which to go for.

from all the reviews and research ive done.

Iiyama ProLite GB2488HSU-B1 (which i can get for £195 delivered)
BenQ XL2411Z (which is £225)

these 2 come up as being good value for money.

although the one i want

BenQ XL2420Z is just out of budget.

if i could get it for £239 id buy it right now.

most will probably have dead/stuck pixels that were returns from the original purchasers methinks

yeah thats what i worry about. ideally i dont want the hassle of having to send it back if something is wrong which is what is putting me off the bgrade one.

Bought one from b-grade had the worst backlight bleed ive ever enountered, just dont. they will all be monitors returned under dsr for issues like that.

yeah. its deffo off putting.

2411Z seems like the option ill have to go. no amount of grovelling has got them to reduce the 2420Z to within my budget yet.

on a semi related note, whats the cut off time for next day delivery?

The 2411Z is down at £216 now which is as low as I've seen it here on OcUK, it having been on my radar for awhile to go with my GTX970.

Mind you even though I'm pretty sure it's superior to the 7yo Samsung TN I've been using as a stopgap since my 24" DGM VA finally died in the end I decided I just can't go back to TN, so I bought a BL2411PT IPS instead.

I bought a b grade Dell u2913wm last year. It was in as new condition but had 2 stuck pixels (red and blue).

As it's an ultrasharp I just contacted dell and they did an exchange for a brand new screen. I verified with them the warranty and scanned my ocuk receipt to them and they confirmed it for the full three years.

Any other brand I probably wouldn't but if it was a dell I would certainly consider it again.

Well, it is a risk, but to illustrate a positive example, I am about to return a 21:9 (29") LG which has NOTHING wrong with it, no bleed or stuck pixels... I just changed my mind and have gone for a 1440p model instead as I felt I needed more workspace. The one I'm returning will end up in their B-grade pile, and if someone buys it they will be very happy and have scored themselves a bargain. So it's by no means a certainty that you'll get a poor example that's damaged or faulty... but there is that chance. Your right to return still applies though, it's just the warranty you miss out on.
