*** The Official Destiny Thread (now includes 2.0 and TTK) ***

Can't remember where I read it now and if it was fact or fiction - but recall there may be something called ascendant essence which can bump up the level on exotic/legendary armours.

Take that with a pinch of salt. it's more likely we'll all be scrapping our raid and exotic armour to jump from 30 to 32

I don't see the point but good luck in your quest to get them all!! ;)

I am not going to buy Patience and Time as I already have Ice Breaker and only have 17 strange coins so would struggle to have enough for next week if I spend them all.

Its something to do to help keep the game interesting. Plus, they all have their own unique fun abilities which make them different to use to other guns. I think the game would feel very stale if you used the same gun all the time every time. Plus there's just part of my personality that likes collecting things.

Its why for example, in battlefield 3 I unlocked every attachment for every gun including all the new DLC guns, and completed every assignment. Kept something to work towards even when the game had become repetitive.

They've found lots of things in the game files which aren't actually in circulation yet. One of them was exotic armor shards

http://www.destinydb.com/items/2609687617-exotic-armor-shard

Its description reads "For making ultimate improvements to high-quality armor"

so its possible that you'll need some of these to bump your existing exotic to the new light level required for 32.

Yeah Im collecting all the exotics in the game too - just nice to have even if some arent nice to use and the way they drop its not like Im going out of my way to get them - just a private goal to keep me in the game :)

Some might get fixed or just get better once unlocked...

ps3ud0

Cheers for posting it up.

I only got the hunter armor he had up last week so patience and time for me. Will suit me for pvp :)

Patience and time sounds good but I'm not sure whether to just keep hold of my coins and hope for Icebreaker to come back around. PvP I'm yet to delve in but will have to for Bad Juju once I've spoken to Xur so it could be fun for that is the timer the same as hunter cloak around 8 sec camo?

If there was a more reliable (known drop table) for farming exotics, like Warframe with its prime parts, it would be a lot better.

Rather than them just literally dropping completely at random from any activity that rewards an Engram.

Is gearing up for Crucible worth it? I have just rolled a Titan maybe around level 14 at present, got a pretty basic auto rifle and seem to be finishing top of almost every match. I am no console gamer either, apart from Halo around 3 years ago I've always been PC.

Is it because I am being stat padded or something cause of my low level?

I presume it is yeah plus radar staying active whilst looking sights will be a god send :)

Going to grab it later and then save up coins again incase icebreaker comes along as thats better suited to pve.

the attack stat is removed from the balance equation in PVP. As is the quality.

assuming identical impact, a level 1 auto rifle will do the same damage as a level 20 exotic.

The only difference will be the accuracy, rate of fire, reload times etc. so you are capable of being competitive right from when the crucible unlocks at rank 5.

Problem is, some of the guns have accuracy and damage stats far better than any other guns, making them much more suited to PVP. eg the Suros Regime.

I dont get it - how does that crucible part of the Darkness-Infused Pulse Rifle (Bad juju?) work?

I've been playing rumble assuming for each kill I get 100 points - thats 100 kill's = 10,000 points - but sometimes I get like 500 points and like now I only got 175 points for about 5 kills??

Also - which is the best crucible mode to get the 10,000 points required please?

Worth getting the Patience And Time sniper rifle? I already use Ice Breaker, is it worth having P&T as well? I'm thinking as soon as I run out of sniper ammo with P&T, I can be all like "who cares? I still have Ice Breaker with infinite ammo!"

You get 75 points for killing a Warlock but only 25 for killing the other 2 classes. :)

From wikia, "Obtain 10,000 points in the Crucible to obtain Sated Pulse Rifle. A Titan or Hunter kill or assist is worth 25 points, and a Warlock kill or assist is worth 75 Points."

edit: beaten xD

Might be worth having if you do the weekly Nightfall and Heroics and need a secondary weapon that has Arc damage.

I have Ice Breaker too but bought Patience and Time as I was missing a decent Arc damage weapon. That and it looks nice. ;)

So been saving up my strange coins waiting for a decent auto rifle, but so far nothing. Didn't fancy the Suros. Is it worth splashing 13 on "The Armamentarium" for my Titan? Looks to be a good armour with the two grenade bonus.
