At least 50 dead. Terrible news.

I've been to Wagah border on the India side and it's an amazing (if somwhat scary) experience.

It must have been absolute chaos :(

People getting whipped up into a near hysteria for the daily changing of the border guard.

It's full to bursting point every day. I witnessed the police literally beating people back with a stick because of the surge forward when the gates opened.

Hopefully this isn't the end to what was a really fascinating spectacle. Along with the cricket, it's one of those rare events where people from both sides of the border seemed to come together and celebrate their differences...
 
I can remember seeing this border ceremony on Michael palins documentary series Himalaya. Definitely quite a spectacle. Terrible news this.
 
Free Kashmir guys? no idea.

Not sure how the Taliban can claim 'credit' when they are based towards the north west of pakistan and this was the east...

Not good either way as it'll just de-stabalise and raise more tensions between the two countries.

It seemingly targeted the Pakistani side not Indian - so perhaps not Kashmir 'freedom fighters' nor likely to harm relations with India.

Quite plausible that it is some Islamic terror group affiliated with the Pakistani Taliban.
 
Yet another example of Muslim fundamentalists total disregard for human life any life, it matters not that they slaughter Muslims and they commit these atrocities under the name of Allah.

Allah, he must be proud of his followers.
 
I went there back in 2007. It was when the mad rush at the gates that my dad had a bag ripped off him carrying cash and all of our passports - luckily someone picked it up and gave it back.

However, it was one of the best experiences of my life (Indian Side) and would love to go back there. Very sad to see that this bombing has occurred, great tragedy to a wonderful place.
