Well, this woman lived that dream;

Now, my dad isn't a serial killer. But if he was, I reckon he'd be the type to plan it carefully, take his time, probably re-use tools he already had in the garage, and bodge something where he didn't have the right tool for the job. Gardening twine instead of cable ties, or a wood saw instead of a cleaver, or whatever.

His call-sign would probably be something boring, like the answer to 12-across on today's telegraph crossword, written in blood. Or with a cheap biro. Except he's not that well-read, so maybe it'd be the one from The Sun. And it would be written in spidery capitals, and smudged 'cos he's left handed.

He probably wouldn't be prolific, as he likes a lazy, easy life. But would be happy to get on with it when it needed doing. No nonsense.

Not sure on method of dispatch. Probably he'd like to just tie them up and throw them, still alive, in a lake or something. Or in a box in the attic.

Anyway, GD: what type of serial killer would your dad be?

hmm you've got me wondering OP, my old man does a lot of travelling around the country with his work is quite meticulous and has been known to be out of touch for a couple of hours at a time(dodgy Vodafone reception my backside.

Think you may be onto something here

Mine threw a box of cornflakes at the wall one day. Does that count?

It's that animalistic side which feeds the addiction. I expect he usually keeps it well under wraps, but when the pressure builds he just has to release somehow.

I expect he went out and killed a couple of hookers with a hammer that evening.

My dad would be the type of serial killer that ends up putting his back out and writhing about in pain until the police arrived.

What consitutes a "serial killer" more than 1?

Think my dad may be a serial killer, he spent 23 years in the infantry during the 70's, 80's and 90's. He was a qualified Sniper and was by all accounts and going by all the thropies in his study a very good shot.

But do I wish he was a serial killer, nope not in the criminally insane aspect anyway.

Wow! In a fight between a sniper and a serial killer, a sniper wins 9 times out of 10. At least.

I was actually going to do this as a "Ever wish your dad was an expert sharpshooter?", but I didn't think anyone would take it seriously. Just too fanciful.

No way would I wish my dad was a serial killer if he was already a sniper.
