Audi A8 - 3.0TDi or 4.2TDi

They do a hybrid model which loses some boot space and typically with most saloons the opening is awkward.

If using it for a taxi service would you want half the boot being taken up with a big LPG tank?

It depends on the clientele remember, if it's mainly execs will they have a lot of bags with them?
I never see many bags with the execs near Liverpool Street

He's hardly going to be doing airport runs all the time so I can't see it being a big issue. Alternative is tank in place of the spare wheel and keep a can of goo in the boot and a few spare wheel/tyre combos at home.

All of the exec limo services in Oz are run on LPG with large in-boot tanks, the cost savings are huge.

Went to look at a 3.0TDi LWB today and was pretty impressed.

Decided to drive half hour up the road to check out an LS460 SE-L since everyone kept saying that's what I should go for.

Bought the Lexus. It felt in a totally different league to the Audi.

Epic!

Remember Lexus essential servicing.

For my LS430 it was £99 for a minor service!

I'll do my best to get some pics up in the coming days once I've given it a good clean and polish.

It really is an incredible car for the money. I've never been in anything remotely approaching the level of comfort or ride quality, it's like sitting in an armchair whilst driving on a freshly laid road.

One minor annoyance, it seems the aux input in the centre armrest/storage was only introduced in 2007, so I can't use my iPod in the car which is a shame as the Mark Levinson sound system is astonishing. Where the aux input is on the later models, I have three inputs like a VGA input - video, mono (L) and mono (R). Anyone know if there's any way at all of running an iPod through this?

I can remember with the LS430 I was about to buy an Ipod adapter that you get for Toyotas. It may be the same case, could get something like this?
