2012 must still be such a huge regret for McLaren. It was a really good car, but the race management and pit stops were dreadful. JB drove really well, but if Lewis had been more settled then he would have had a great chance of the championship.
It does seem that Jenson's time in F1 is drawing to a close this year. For all his limitations (and strengths) I think he had a really good career. He managed to get over the early rookie years, when team owners had more patience than today, and when his chance came he took it and got his championship. He had a good battle with Lewis at McLaren, and although Lewis wasn't at his best he certainly made the most of it and exploited his team mate's weakness when it appeared.
He was never the fastest around one lap and, despite what many think, I don't think he was hugely better in wet conditions either. But he does have a really good feel for the car as the track evolves, and has made some really good calls in the past in changing weather. I wish he could have had a better result at Silverstone, but some things are not meant to be. But, he does love cake
I met him at Barcelona a couple of times this year (as the nominated owner of PapaSmurf for the weekend!) and he was great. Many, especially here, will always talk about balance but he comes across as a great guy and in the latter years of his F1 career he has been a great ambassador and servant for F1.
A few good memories of JB as I've seen him - please forgive the nostalgia of one of my favourite drivers:

Back on the race, I'm really looking forward to Brazil. It rarely disappoints, and no matter what the outcome it can only serve up a nerve-wracking season finale in Abu Dhabi. With the Mercedes seemingly able to guarantee a top two finish unless there's a mechanical failure, I hope Lewis and Nico don't clash on the track here. The Red Bull's feel like they could be strong here, with their corner exit speed they should really be able to capitalise on turn three and the penultimate corner.
