Rockstar also went ahead and officially confirmed that the next-gen GTA V will run at a native resolution of 1080p and 30 frames per second on both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles. PC gamers with high-end rigs, on the other hand, will get the best visuals, as the PC version of the game will allow users to raise the resolution from the console’s max of 1080p all the way up to 4K. The first-person mode will help here too by providing players with a better view of the enhanced visuals including denser pedestrian population and traffic, realistic wildlife, and more complex weather effects. Not long to go and good to see they have catered for us PC gamers. I can see me losing a fair chunk of my life on this game and I loved GTA IV and hopefully, the modders can have a play and let me play as Iron man again.

AMD or nVidia, I am sure we will both be enjoying this game :)

That first person GTA, I sooooo can't wait for that! They best not port it over with a capped 30fps or whatever though.
 
1080/30 for them, And 1080/120 for me? I hope so this game looks stunning i literally am stoked about this! Imagine how long this is going to last 4K/120 is what this needs to be played at. I wonder how long that will take!
 
Even though I played GTA 5 on the PS3 I shall be getting the PC version for first person mode. That looks awesome.
 
Here's hoping they do a better job with the port for this than they did on Watch Dogs lol! Different engine of course, so I don't foresee any issues.
 
Just wondering does anyone know if they mentioned 120 frames per second? I do not use Twitter so i cannot fire off a question. Anyone want to try to find out? It pretty much hinges on this.
 
Good to see it's not likely to be a direct console to PC port.

Still, I've absolutely no interest in this game whatsoever.

Just hope it's a sign of things to come when companies move games to the PC rather than some direct lift-and-shift with the bare minimum effort put in. I'm hoping DirectX 12 and Mantle being more like the console APIs doesn't make devs lazier.
 
I have a horrid feeling the fps will be capped to 60 or worse 30. Mainly because past gta games have had problems with fps and animations i.e gta sa going over 50 or so like 70fps and your car or whatever stops due to breaking but fixed if your fps are lower and stuff like that. Heck you cant reverse in gta vice unless you have frame limiting on i think it was.

I hope to god they dont impose limits believe me i dont but i somehow think they might try something due to maybe their animation system or somit.

Tho saying that did max payne 3 have any fps capping going on?
 
GTA V may have 4K as an option, but if it's made as well as previous GTA games you will need tri-fire Radeon 690's to run it, and no that's not a typo ^^
 
Max Payne 3 iirc was uncapped and even got a dx11 make over for pc users.

Can't see rock star doing things like frame caps with V. They know it will be one of the biggest selling PC titles of 2015.

I hope it doesn't suffer the same flaw as GTA IV, where you had to button mash at a certain point, but because it was designed to run at 30fps/60fps?, it was somehow set for that speed of mashing and the PC was getting 150+ frames and absolutely no hope of super sonic style mashing and hence failure in that part every time.
