*** The Official Destiny Thread (now includes 2.0 and TTK) ***

What happens when you press the button which brings up your character screen (where you can change guns etc) and hit left shoulder button (L1 on PS4)?

Do you not have the roster option? I can't think why the option wouldn't be there.

Yeah, the roster is there and from there you can invite people to a fireteam, but I don't think there is an option to join one.

On the PS4 if you hit X on a player (either on your friends list in the middle or on players in the current instance on the right) you get the get about 6 options - the top one being join fireteam.

Genuinely suprised if that isn't there TBH. I thought it was part of the game and not something platform specific.

Maybe it is there and I've been doing it wrong all this time! :p I'll check tonight, but I swear it's not there on XBO :D

I'm not sure, i don't know how well integrated the ps4 friends system is as i havent used it yet. Can the ps4 snap between friends/party list and the game without pausing/stopping the game?

Well that sucks. No doubt it is linked to how live works etc but I still don't understand why you guys can't have / don't have the join fireteam feature. :(

We had a good gaming session last night completing the daily heroic and level 28 weekly heroic to max out our strange coins. I have 27 now so enough for any one item Xur sells (come on please be a decent primary...). I don't know why but I love the Sword of Crota mission. I think its down to the fight mechanic of using the sword which is refreshing - why on earth can't we have the option of a melee primary weapon?! It also helps that it is a stupidly easy way to get some ascendant materials! :p

The weekly heroic was fine and much easier than the Nightfall. I only ended up using the left hand side cheese spot at the beginning of the fight (where you can hit him at that end of the room) and when I needed to regen my shields. Other than that I just sniped him with my Icebreaker. It still took a while due to his stupid amount of health but it was easy enough.

Tonight we are going to try the VoG on normal. I'm not sure how far we will get as none of us have done it (Enemy wise we will be fine its the tactics where we may fall down a bit). One of our guys is "only" level 26 so he may struggle once we push further in (especially having no experience of it). It will be fun trying though.

My main character is only 3 upgrades (already unlocked) and 18 ascendant shards from level 29 now. All I seem to get dropped at the moment (daily heroic etc) is energies. Useful yes but not when I want to upgrade my armour! Once I get my third character to level 20 I will have two level 29 Warlocks to run the dailys / weeklys and VoG on.

Did I hear rumor that Bungie are working on a Destiny 2? Isn't that a slap in the face for people who bought this believing the devs would keep it going strong for 10 years?

A sequel is always in the pipeline, just because they start working on it don't mean it'll be released next year. There are members in the team not involve in the maintenance, update or DLC. They still need to work and get paid.

As for the 10 years program, it was never mentioned it'll be Destiny (1) for the whole 10 years. Mass Effect had 3, Halo is going to be 5, spanned over a period of time.

I do know how it feels when you view headlines or word going around - it makes it a slap in the face.

As for the DLC price though, I am totally agreeing with most. Stupid price, considering it's digital and $19.99 equates to £19.99 here. Only thing we can do is resist if possible and they will drop price - only way to make Activision think (not really Bungie's choice on price as they create, Activision publishes).

I really wanted Gjallarhorn, he's sold it once and I was really hoping it'd come around again. The Truth is certainly not a bad launcher, but Gjallarhorn is in a league of its own.
