This looks totally brilliant!!!

Brilliant robotics prodigy Hiro Hamada finds himself in the grips of a criminal plot that threatens to destroy the fast-paced, high-tech city of San Fransokyo. With the help of his closest companion, a robot named Baymax, Hiro joins forces with a reluctant team of first-time crime fighters on a mission to save their city.

Just seen this came out last week in the US and is coming out.....JANUARY here  It's Wreck-it Ralph all over again! Do they not like money or something? Can you imagine if they did this with The Avengers

They actually do want to make money. That's why they release it staggered in different regions. It's all to do with what else is showing/releasing at the same time in the region, contractual deals with distributors, among other things.

It's antiquated and moronic. In this day and age a worldwide release, especially for something that isn't a physical product should be a given. No way am I going to support this kind of practice.

Well if they want us to buy in to the 'fact' that cam rips ending up on the web eat in to profits, they should at least try to combat that. :p

Those appear on the net regardless, and if you're inclined to watch one, then you're going to watch one anyway.

I know that, but the movie companies are adamant that it isn't the case. If they want us to believe them, then should at least try to fight the big, bad torrent bogeyman. :p

It starts with an interesting concept and gets to a bog standard trope by the end, great first half and then fell apart in the second half after....

turning his friends into superheros, then it became boring and cliched, especially in the fight scenes which had no imagination at all, all of a sudden they started moving inhumanly fast. I thought it was going to get interesting again when he started to mis-use the robot but then that was resolved too quickly. It got all too predictable.

It would have been a lot better if they resolved the whole thing without ever becoming superheroes and using their brains instead, in fact the end fight had almost the same beats as the end fight in The Incredibles

I'm going to give it a 7/10

9/10 first half, 6/10 second half

Like others have said, first half was really good, 2nd half became predictable. It's like Agents of Shield in reverse.

A lot of promise and potential to be something a bit special and different, made all to predictable by those in control of accounts, and money by the end.

It's like Pixar were in control of the first half, and the PC crew came in and were like 'uh uh uhhh, not in this film you don't'

8 out of 10 first half, 5.5-6/10 for the 2nd.

I don't think much has come close to 'UP' in recent years in terms of animation, story and appeal for everyone.

Thing to remember is this was not Pixar though, JL was only an exec producer on this.

Pixar have only made 14 features films, Wreck It Ralph is often mistaken as a Pixar film.

I think if this had been in the hands of Pixar, it would have been superb, only films of theirs I don't like are Cars and Bugs Life.

I just saw this with my kids yesterday and really enjoyed it.

Yes, it was - as one character gleefully shouts - their "original story" but so what?

It may well be cliched, but Disney invented the term and they've become very good at making it very polished. :)

Really enjoyed it! :)

Going to see this this weekend. Looking forward to it. I rarely go to the cinema these days, so expensive so I hope this is good.
