Pretty gutted as its arrived with all the security sapphire seals undone on the box, also the protective film on the card is peeled back with all dust stuck to it.

I could just use it but I ain't risking it, it is Newcastle under Lyme where there based ain't it? For some reason I thought it was Nottingham.

Sorry to hear that. Send it back and speak to Bailey in CS, he's a top man and will sort it for you.

still this is happening?

I know ocuk keep telling us returns are not put back into new stock but we keep seeing these threads cropping up every so often :(

Given the number of cards they turn around the actually percentage of cards that slip through the net has got be less then 1%.

\doesnt matter ocuk have stated on here many times that they returns are never allowed near new stock and this will never happen. unfortunately it seems it still is happening :(

My MSI 290x was not sealed in anyway, It all looked immaculate but it had no seals on the box so I wouldn't be surprised if that was a return due to the crap temps, I wish I'd picked up on it at the time.

yep. i had my ek supremacy evo seals undone and accesories looked like used.
I just didnt like the hustle with returns so i took no steps:(

my 970 turned up today with no seals, but i did check it over and over again. Fairly sure its new but it could have been a return it was so hard for me to tell. Just wish it had film or a seal of some type. a bit of sticky tape on the antistatic bag is not ideal IMO

Yeah just check the seal when it is packed would be enough, as people normally state that the seal is broken

How can you check 10,000 cards?

Not to mention checking involves breaking seals on boxes and handling goods, leaving marks.

That's the responsibility of Overclockers to check that or have a system in place to make sure things like this don't happen.
As advanced as they are I imagine at some point they're still going to be packed by a human who should have noticed this.

Then surely stock should be getting checked?

Our Goodsin guys book in 1000's of products per day, they don't check anything all they do is scan the ean and put a label on the box exterior. Everywhere I've worked is the same inspecting every item would result in a huge slow down or would require six people instead of say two. All our guys will spot is if a box looks like it has being damage, like a fork life truck driven through it.

But as someone said, OcUK is absolutely freaking huge when it comes VGA sales, talking over 5000 graphics cards per month alone and in October we shipped over 10,000 VGA cards, so if the cards slipping through the net is just 1-2 per month we have no issue. :)

That just graphics cards, for instance this week the company as a whole has shipped over two million pounds worth of orders.
