Hi guys ok my budget is £200 at the very most so no suggestions of oh spend another £30 and get x,y,z :D
What are peoples opinions of the best tablet?
I would like the larger screen size of 10"
I have been looking at the galaxy note 3 which I have found for £200 (can I link? I am not sure as ocuk do sell tablets)
Is this my best option or is there something else just as good?

I think that is a pretty good choice given your requirements.

But can I ask why it has to be 10"? They are some better alternatives if you can drop down to 7.9" or 8" - Having used a 10" tablet I have to say I much prefer the 8" form factor myself, maybe why there are not so many options in the 10" size anymore.

Also there are some Windows 8 alternatives at 10" or 11.6" even at that price range.

Just depends what you are using it for I guess?

im also in the market for a new tab for my son, i thought a 7" would be to small but it not that bad.

my son has the first gen nexus 7 and its done it job for 2 years or so. i think a 8" would be perfect size tbh.

Hehe its a great question! I have a 7" kindle fire and I love it but I predominantly use it for reading books as its little small for web browsing and watching videos.
I have very bad eyesight so just thought 10" would be a reasonable upgrade and easier to see for other tasks. I have my desktop pc so its not for constant use. Sounds like s3 tab is best choice. :)

Maybe, but the Asus Memo Pad can be had for around £70 less, which makes it cost to performance wise a better choice imho. I would feel ripped off buying a Tab 3 10.1 for £199 to be honest.

I'd honestly go to a shop and try out an 8.9" tablet, I think you'll be surprised the difference the extra 2" makes (oh dear). Or depending on the age of the kindle fire then some of the newer tablets have much brighter and clearer screens which should help too.

If you wanted to go the other direction and get something massive, then the Lenovo Lynx K3011 is an 11.6" Windows 8 tablet at £149 without the keyboard dock or £199 with the keyboard.

If you want to look at 8.9" tablets then the xiaomi mipad is probably the best choice if you don't mind it being an import.

I would recommend 10.1 inch Linx Windows 8.1 tablet with Atom quad core CPU, 2GB RAM and 32GB SSD, 7-8 hours battery for £159.99.

At this price point you might has well pay extra £30 or so for a refurbished dell venue 11 pro. It has better screen and resolution and they are generally not buggy at all. Also battery is replaceable. Check the bay and dell out let.

Had a look on these 2 sites, found 1 for £30 more with 9 month warranty and only 1 month free Office 365 subscription. But noticed lots of people complaints in forums about Wifi issues with Dell Wireless 1538 module so I will avoided Dell Venue 11 Pro, don't want Dell Wifi issue with my router. I already ordered Linx 10.1 inch tablet hours ago, it bundled 1 year free Office 365 Personal and a year free 1TB OneDrive storage. Very temped. :)

Been watched and read Linx tablets reviews on youtube and Amazon, it has very nice IPS screen and Wifi are very good.

The wifi model in the dell venue 11 is easily replaceable with intel modules since the back cover comes off but the issue with wifi have mostly been solved with software upgrades. Its much better buy than some Chinese re brand regardless of uk company or not. All these Chinese tablets are nothing short of terrible out the box. Only the venue 11 core version you can replace the wifi module, just need to make clear.

I have a venue 11 (atom version) and NEVR had any serious issues with it and i am sure if enough people bought linx tablet there will be equal amounts of threads about people complaining of wifi issues.

Ok so after much pondering and deciding, work so very conveniently are running a scheme of buying a tablet (or other electrical items too) and paying it back in small deductions from salary for 12 months. So I have gone for the samsung Galaxy note S 10.5" I am very excited, its due to arrive before Christmas week so I am very happy.
