Right, what is this beast infestation?

We've had some brown stains appearing in our under sink cupboard for a while, and they seem to have graduated to around the washing machine and a pipe box in the lounge. They can be a little moist and have a metallic smell.

Errrm?

Under the sink you say?

Yes that will be....

Rust.

I'm not entirely convinced but I will clean it again and see what happens. We do have a slug issue though so maybe it's connected to that. Possibly the slug is spreading it about....

Slugs are interested in greens, not your manky fridge.

We have slug trails around the lounge and under the sink and have had for a while. Landlord claims to have sorted them out but alas not. As in the original post, these strange brown marks are around the base of the washing machine, not the fridge.

Anyways, no idea how they're so widespread over such a large distance without something to spread them around. Hard to tell without pulling the kitchen out but since I don't own the house...

It looks like it might be demnons. I suggest you get in touch with our resident demnon expert Dickyb0b. Maybe he'll let you borrow his ghost detector machine, also known as a crack pipe.

Looks to me like someone's hand is too shaky to carry spoon full of instant coffee between jar and cup without some of it falling on the floor and then is just too lazy to clean it up so they sweep it with their foot in general direction of any random corner.

Kill slugs - salt.

But slugs don't leave brown marks like that. Slug 'droppings' are easily definable.

Yeah the sneaky flippers go round salt, they're too clever. Only way to get them is to stake out the lounge over night :(

yup just filth, hit with 99.99% spray and wipe it away. prolly just a messy marmite mentalist, but don't risk a free salty tasty free lick. clean ir.
