So guys, I really need or hope someone can point me in the right direction.
I bought a Mazda5 from a main dealer a year and a half ago.
2008 Mazda5 2.0L Derv
61k on the clock
FSH (All Mazda)
Very clean condition, just a suff on the bumper which I got them to put right.
It's for my Wife & family, At the time we had three young kids and one on the way. The Mazda5 ticked a lot of boxes...
- Sliding doors
- Decent performance (140bhp / Decent TQ figures)
- We do near 20k a year, needed better MPG than the 25mpg that the petrol equivalent offered.
The first year of owning the car we've had so many issues, all of which the dealer put right but it was the time and effort of dropping the car off each time. However, the longest running issue we have is the following...
Hesitation when warm
When you start the car up in the morning, it runs well. No problems. 15-20 minutes in to the journey the car will start to hesitate. The car judders, almost as though you are running out of fuel. Sometimes you can feel a slight hesitation others it almost throws you forward.
- Under light throttle response
- When you are driving around a roundabout, throttle is pressed lightly as you drive around it
Work Carried out to date - Car always filled up with BP/Shell Derv.
Mazda Main Dealer #1
- Re-programmed injectors - Fine for 4 days, then went back to normal
- Cleaned out injectors, said one one of them was a build up of dirt. Re-programmed. Fine again for 4-5 days, went back to normal
- Told me it was due to the car needing a full service.
Trusted Garage
- Full Service carried out with Mazda OE Parts (Every filter, inc Fuel filter was changed)
- Cambelt was changed
Mazda Main Dealer #2
- Injector Seals replaced
Mazda Main Dealer #1
- Run a full Derv Cleaner through it, full flush through the system, re-programmed. Fine for a month! then back to normal.
Trusted Garage
- Got a derv specialist involved, tested injectors 2&3 were found faulty, mid-range pressure. Replaced them both for OE injectors, re-programmed. Fine for 3 weeks... now back to normal.
- Car broke down at the weekend, kept on cutting out, found that the air mass was faulty, replaced but still hesitating as above.
Sorry for the epic post, but I'm at my wits end with this car, just about to sell it! or put a match to it
Anyone have any ideas?
Mark
