Its a common good, what if he had a Flu or something, people need to know so they can stay away and not interact with him.

Correct mainly because it's breaking the law and could cause some serious embarrassment.
If people need to stay away then they should be informed by the management, not have their personal records put out so everyone else can decide to treat them like a leper.

No because we should treat infectious people in same manner as threats to well-being of general population.

We need to monitor population in same way NSA does to protect us from terrorists, pick out the infected ones and ship them to Guantanamo.

Because if we dont, they will infect others and hurt people, giving up our medical records and freedom is clearly worth this.

Please dont throw at me the "illegal" card, NSA is illegal and so what?

We as population allow government surveillance to take place, since it apparently saves us from terrorists, why dont we just apply same rules to more every-day situations?

In our department it's a big breach of data protection if you answer a phone and say that the person they want isn't there because they're off sick.

That kind of information belongs in a spreadsheet/database on a computer, accessible only to HR and management.
