Man refused entry to a falconry display, because he had no children with him.

Its bad enough practising photography in public as it is, I have been called a peado three times so far this year, once when cops were called and I had to prove my innocence. The fact I was doing macro photography at the time kinda helped my case.

I now take my girlfriend when photographing in public....

I take it's taking the joy out of photography these days?

God yes, cant go any place where their might be children. you end up getting starred at or have a lot of passive aggressiveness.

I passed up the oppertunity to borrow a friends 5dmk3 and sigma 50- 500mm, because I know the "dailey mail" readers will be out in force challenging me why I'm taking pictures.

People don't seem to realise that I can legally take pictures in public, kinda scary that coppers don't know this. I literally had to Google the laws for the last clueless pair.

If kids aren't in the frame then there's no reason to get uppity.

People don't always understand what is in frame though, you could be taking something with a wide angle lens or something that has a very narrow field of view.

When I had my 70-300 Canon lens delivered to my office, pretty much everyone that saw it made a comment about me taking pics of women etc. That's just the perception of others and it can be damaging.

Say what you like about Paedophiles but at least they always slow down when driving past Schools.

Yeah, it's amazing watching DigitalRev TV when they do street photography in Hong Kong, the public don't care at all. Over here, you're either a peado or a terrorist.

I was queried by police when I took a few photos of Big Ben a few of years ago on my mobile. Never been to London before that was quite a nasty experience really :(.

So what if other kids are in the frame if it's a public space? I've taken plenty of pictures of little Daniel at play areas with other kids in the shot.

Not yet had any parents get uppity, and if they did they'd get told to STFU.

See it shouldn't matter but I would imagine if it wasn't your child(?)in the photo as the main subject it would be completely different.

If you were a bloke without your child there the reaction from parents might well be different if you were taking pictures of children.

There's something quite happy carefree about children playing cheers me up a bit(when they're not little *****). If I were to take a photo of children playing with only the intention of keeping a memory that made me smirk being a single bloke without children I'd probably get done for it.

Don't worry about it. It won't be long before Capita will force you to do a CRB for carrying a camera.

Don't know if someone has already said this but...

An adult with their own children can also be a Paedo FFS... this is moronic.

Lego discovery centre in Manchester/Berlin etc don't let adults in without children apart from special openings.. I fail to see the difference.

Ironically if the guy had been a peado he'd have been fine as he'd have brought a kid with him to groom :p

Yes they do?

I've been in there and the sea life next to it with my girlfriend in the past. Even sat in the play area building cars with the kids
