Co op mode is some kind of sick joke. Why couldn't the single player be co op ffs

Can you play this game competitively at ground level, or are you expected to do the majority of stuff grinding and bouncing all over the place?
The tutorial seems to make you want to do all that **** rather than go head to head with enemies, bit disappointed if that's the case TBH. Initial impressions aren't that great.

Hmmm, seems I made some wrong assumptions about the gameplay mechanics then. I find this sort of bouncy-jumpy game generally doesn't click with me.
Was expecting something more like Crackdown than Jet Set Radio with guns. I'll keep going for a bit longer to see if I get into it.

It's like Tony Hawks mixed with something with guns.
You need to keep moving from rails to cable to edges and the more you move between them the more you power up the lightning on the top right. Do that before any boss fight and you'll cake walk the whole game.
If you go on the ground you will get overwhelmed and die, a LOT. Which is not a problem since you don't get penalise for it.
Well I hate to say it because I was looking forward to it so much, but I've not been this disappointed with a big exclusive for a long time.
It's probably me just being crap, but I can't even get off the tutorial where you have to protect some sort of vat from a load of mutants and a big dude, just get killed everytime as the jumping/grinding feel totally out of my control and I completely lose track of my surroundings. I've got no motivation to get better either, just total disinterest in it :/

Did you watch any gameplay videos before buying it?
Yes but didn't realise the whole game was based around that sort of gameplay mechanic.
I thought there would be more run and gun, Crackdown or Infamous style combat with the air-based grinding stuff as a side.

I was wondering the same thing. I am hooked on levelling the weapons up. Not really touched the story yet after about five hours playing.
Same as me. It's very much a marmite game, you either instantly click with it or feel very alienated.
Yup just clothes.
I saw your comments earlier in the thread and it's exactly my thought on it, schoolboy error by me going digital on this one
