Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare

The above is BS and lag has been in every CoD. The majority of it gets ironed out after a few patches BO1/2 are prime examples.

Peoples connection does have an effect but I've got a 152mb connection, I've had more good games than bad, but not as of late the prime gaming times are a lag fest lately i.e straight from work and its very hit and miss game to game.. it also seems the same with the people I party up with. Blaming the customers connection is a lame and easy way out but 95% of CoD players have heard this tripe before and they know that hence the upcoming connection issues patch.

Sledgehammer/Activision are saying any lag you experience is down to noise on your line.

Your download speed means nothing for gaming. It's all about your latency/ping and the quality of your line. I know a lot of people have problems playing online with Virgin Media.
 
Call of Duty AW Patch is live : All below updates live as of 11/10/2014, 16:00 PST.

Adjustment to the in-game chat names notifications placement.
Fixed Prestige reset issues, including emblems and challenges.
Fixed Marksman and Camo challenges to not reset when you prestige.
Connectivity optimizations for game servers.
Fixed issues with Ping Bar not updating correctly.
Fixed stats not accumulating towards leaderboards after prestiging.
Adjustment to challenges to unlock Camos for weapons.
Fixed round-based game modes, affecting Win/Loss ratios.
Implemented ability to unlock eSports Rule options in Private Match.
Fixed weapon reloads counting as speed reloads in certain circumstances.
Added description to reload informing that you can double-tap to speed reload.
Fixed double xp splash, so it doesn't show up in private match, combat readiness program, or survival mode.
Showing 4x or 2x based on whether a loot double xp item exists
Add double XP icon to medal splashes when double xp is active.
Fixed rare save game issue affecting playthrough progression
KC score limit increased to 85 per match.

I had a horrific time with Black Ops on virgin media due to the new traffic management/STM they introduced during that time, there was massive threads about it on their (Virgin) support forums with people having the same issue and during times that Virgin removed us from the traffic management it played perfectly, they then put us back and the problems came back, they denied it was their system though but it was clear as day it was.

Ping is 6ms.. Which is fine for gaming though. I understand its more than just download, but most of the time the game plays fine. Other times not so much and thats probably when the game is skill based match making having me play against "Pablo"

Edit: wish i hadn't prestiges last night now.. Lost my challenges already.
Looking forward to seeing if the ping bars and mathmaking is improved.

I've been saying this for ages. some won't take it in, they just keep quoting their "fiberdooodaaainfintyspeedzomgizmazballs" :D

My "Speed" is crap...my latency/ping is very good.
 
So the problem is the noise on my line yet they are releasing a connectivity patch? Makes sense.

Just make it so I don't have to play against Pablo and my connection will be fine.
 
I've done it a couple of times by accident actually. When I double jump and then try to boost land (or whatever it is called) to get a concussion blast or whatever, it seems it's a little unreliable and you often just end up going prone.

I will be up for giving it another go now the connectivity patch is live and see how it plays.
I've been working my way through the campaign though with the thought of selling it.

I'm kind of enjoying it now and it's 100x better with a team. It's hard to adjust your play style after playing all of the previous CoDs but you have to either adapt or just die a lot :p......... Or snap the disc :D
 
I thought the noise was probably them talking about lost packets as its p2p but no idea.. Just hope there matchmaking is going to be patched and I'm expecting a BAL nerf..

People demanded change, got it, then hate it :p

I'm just learning to cope with killing someone then putting my back to the wall and retreating back to where I originally spawned from. Being shot in the back becomes extremely tedious.
 
I've been enjoying search and destroy again.. Much sweatier players as it seems very good XP but its always been a great game mode since CoD 4.
