16nm GM200 Titan II being tested..

I look at it differently to everyone here. Most people spend £200 to £400 a month on booze and cigarettes. I don't drink and I don't smoke therefore I put what I used to spend on those things in my hobby fund. So if a GPU costs £1000 and I have that in my hobby fund I spend it on something to brings me enjoyment and dont worry about what is around the corner. And when that comes out if it tickles my fancy I sell what I have and buy what's new. If I don't have the money I wait for the next slice of bread to come round. Life is short enjoy what you can.

This does not mean I am loaded means I might just spend my money differently to others.

I drink too much and my wages pays for that but for my PC and other such luxuries (like Ho's and coke), I do overtime and that pays for those things :)

I do get annoyed when I read people telling others they are wasting their money.... I always respect whatever people buy and so long as they are paying for it, who has the right to judge?

Well you lucky enough to earn overtime. According to my company I earn to much to be privileged enough to earn overtime.

100% agree with the above.

What if they buy volcano insurance?

+1

It's totally subjective what a persons disposable income is, so people can never agree on a whole. I think we can all mostly agree that Titan Z was grossly overpriced though, and advising someone not to buy one was actually to save that person some money. With the end of 28nm (Hopefully Soon) we won't get as much generational milking until the end of the new node's cycle.

Talking about money, there are some bargains on B Grade atm, HD 7850's for £49.99, GTX 760 £99, 280X £129 and GTX 780 Lighting for £199.99. Worth a look for those who want more bang for buck.

I didn't say they're wasting money, just that it's nice to have the facts when buying a new card, especially if you have to redo your loop 2 months later. ;)
