To the op. Watch ninja scroll. Akira. Ghost in the shell. Grave of the fireflies. Urotsukidoji. Fist of the north star. Golgo 13. Vampire Hunter d. Attack on titan. When you have seen those come back and make another post. You can't comment on stuff you know nothing about. I don't dislike vegetarians because I eat meat.

I don't get why anime gets such a bad rap. And they are NOT comics - it is ART, art which Westerners just don't understand and couldn't produce even if they went to special pervert school for, like, 27 years, they still couldn't capture the eerieness and emptiness and dieing in your own basement-ness.

I think it's fair to dislike all manga/anime etc fans on the basic and proven basis that they are awful in everything they say and do.
