Yup, it's one of my gripes with superhero films, the fact that people seem to throw around plaudits when Iron Man or whomever causes massive destruction solving a problem that wouldn't have existed if he'd just left things well enough alone in the first place.
 
Seemingly conventional girl meets posh but intrinsically dumb English guy and finds him very annoying but they eventually end up falling in love.
