Samsung demonstrated at the recently concluded IFA 2014 curved monitor S34E790C, which is different from the unique type of matrix: instead of IPS LCD panels used VA. Novelty is not yet ready for mass production, the appearance of its sales is expected in the first half of next year, however, some characteristics of the monitor still are.

according to the above source, the list of characteristics, the main difference between LCD panel type VA from the same size and resolution IPS is more high brightness: 3000:1 vs 1000:1. Other specifications LCD panel S34E790C are:


Resolution: 3440 x 1440 pixels;
vertical frequency: 60 Hz (when connected via DisplayPort);
viewing angle: 178° horizontal and vertical;
the response time of the pixel: 4 MS.
the Set of connectors Samsung S34E790C presents one DisplayPort, two HDMI and four USB ports.
Price Samsung S34E790C will be announced closer to start of sales of the monitor.


A VA panel should get rid of the majority of complaints people have with the existing LG IPS 21:9 Panels. It would be good if the OCUK team could keep an eye on this one ..
 
now that sounds very interesting...i'm eager to see some reviews early next year about the pixel response and all that jazz...
 
yes i am waiting to see this monitor then i can decide what to get between LG , Samsung , or Dell ( all 34" cuved 3440x1440)
