Hey guys I was looking for a little advice on a new monitor.
I'm looking for a 4k one around £500, I was looking at a:

YOUR BASKET
1 x Asus PB287Q 28" 4K 60Hz 1MS Gaming Widescreen LED Monitor - Black £449.99
Total : £459.59 (includes shipping : £8.00).

What are the opinions on this monitor and are there any other suggestions?
In January the GTA 5 release on PC is going to be 4K and I'm looking at using it for that.

Secondly I wondered how my rig would handle that? and if not too well what to improve? my rig is:

1. Processor - Intel Sandybridge i5-2500K Unlocked Core i5 Quad-Core Processor (3.30GHz, 6MB Cache, Socket 1155)

2.Motherboard - AsRock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3 Motherboard, Socket 1155, PCI-Express 3.0, DDR3, USB 3.0, HDMI, 7.1 HD Audio, ASRock Instant Boot

3.Memory (RAM) - Corsair CMZ16GX3M4A1600C9B 16GB (4x4GB) 1600MHz CL9 DDR3 Vengeance Blu Memory Four Module Kit

4.Hard drive(s) - Samsung 120GB SSD 840 EVO SATA 6Gb/s Basic
- Hitachi HDT721010SLA360 ATA Device (931 GB)

5.Graphics card(s) - Asus Radeon R9 290 "Voltage Unlocked" 4096MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card

6.Power supply (PSU) - Seasonic G series 750w '80 Plus Gold' Modular Power Supply

7.Case - BitFenix Ghost Silent Tower Case - Black

8. Cooling - Corsair Hydro H110 280mm High Performance Liquid CPU Cooler

Thanks in advance guys :D

the Asus PB287Q is TN panel, 4k IPS panel is still quite expensive but you could wait for new Dell P2715Q IPS 4k monitor 27" which isn't out yet in UK but it is just out in US today. ( the price will be the new low price for IPS screen )

$699 in US

you need another graphic card if you want to to run at high setting with good fps. ( you can run 4k with 1 graphic card but you might need to turn down some setting with no AA in new games . old games that not demanding you can run 4k with one card )

Yeah don't think you're going to be running GTA5 very well at 4k with a single 290...
Anyway if it's primarily for gaming I'd probably wait until some FreeSync monitors come out and see what's available there. Should be some good things coming.

Ok cool thanks for the tips, with my current rig what monitor would you recommend? The one I have now is dire and I desperately need an upgrade!
