US: Constantine - NBC - Matt Ryan - Autumn

3 started diabolically but there was a few glimpses of hope in the second half - I'm only really still watching it due to a lack of any better tv show to take up the time I'm watching it though.

Not really like there's much else on worth watching on a Friday tbh, apart from Grimm. Chances are it'll get cancelled though as it's not doing well in the ratings at all.

Can't say that episode wasn't dark... still kind of weak though and the actress playing Zed is horrendously miscast - just not a role that plays to her talents.

I've got to agree she's just not that good, pity as I like Matt Ryan as Constantine just wish he had some one good to be on screen with.

Definitely something the show lacks - that dynamic between the leading roles, Chas is barely more than a shadow, Manny is fairly good but only appears infrequently and wouldn't work more frequently. Zed would be ok with another character in the mix but plainly struggles in the role. I don't think she is a bad actress as such just really not the actress for the role.

So, anybody watch episode 4? By far the best episode yet. Hopefully this is where it really starts to pick up. Loved some of the writing, and the relationship between him and his friend. Nice to see the real john surface in this episode.

I reckon it's just warming up. Each episode has been a lot better than the previous one. It's hardly uncommon for shows to take some time to get going.

Yes it did provide an interesting angle. Very pithy and dark concerning the friend. Probably the best episode yet. What a predicament to be placed in?

At first I didn't think I'd like this, but I love this programme. Yes it may not be strictly canonical but it's damn entertaining. It doesn't hurt having all the English references in there too,. I wonder how many US viewers actually 'get' them and aren't confused by things like the references to Newcastle having a **** football team?

Probably most of them. The Premiership is broadcast every week on network TV in the US.

I think it tries, the problem with this I feel is that it's too much like supernatural. Except there seems to be worse acting, or characters that have been miscast.

I will keep with it for a few more episodes and if it doesn't improve, I will strike it from the list.

Latest episode was probably one of the better episodes so far.

Loved the film, and as a fan of Bush, it s great to see Gavin Rosdale acting, he pulled out off fantastically. Is this show coming to UK TV?
