As thread title, is there a block available for the Gigabyte G1 Gaming 970?

Coolance configurator shows greyed out results?

EK configurator is showing these available now, although I don't think OCUK have them in stock yet.

Has anyone fitted one yet?

I spoke to EK last week, ocuk should have them end of this week / start of next. I got impatient and ordered from EK. Waiting for it to arrive :-D

If you're cooling to try and get extra performance I would save your money, you get barely any head room from water cooling these cards.

I done it becuase its A) my first water loop and B) i game in the same room the wife watches the TV so silent pc is a must.

is water cooling silent? i was under the impression the hum of pump etc was equivalent to a big air cpu cooler fan....

The pumps are Silent as long as they are isolated. Compared to Air coolers its Extremely quiet ! (assuming enough rad space is used to run fans at very slow speeds)

I'm doing it because I've currently got my 4670k hooked up to 600mm of rad space!

I've got the card currently clocked to 1467 and the windforce fans have it under 69c at full load and the noise isn't that bad. So yea, putting a block on this card will be self indulgence.

As has been said, if there is sufficient rad space then the pump can be set to the lowest setting and fans left rotating lazily. Super silent.

Well i ordered the rest of my kit from watercooling uk, (delete if i cant say that) due to avaliabity and it only arrived today. The company sux ! I will never use them again 3 weeks to deliver a res/rad/fluid and cpu block. I now am not going to have any time to do this until xmas due to work commitments

I have 2 of these blocks on order as well for my SLI'd cards. Same reason as above really, utilise an existing water loop to reduce heat and noise. I have 1x360 rad and 1x120 rad (XSPC RXs) that are only cooling the CPU so far.
