Thought I'd try and squeeze in a final BBQ before the weather turns, so got the pizza stone on top of the Weber. Rather impressed with the results (I cooked more than the one pizza below):

1 hour to prepare and get up to heat, then 4 minutes per pizza to cook... mmmm

hmm, il pass :D

How'd you do it?!?!

Filled the Weber starter chimney twice to get plenty of coal all around the perimeter of the grill. You need the stone on from the start otherwise the shock of the heat will crack it. Then once up to temp get the pizza on, put the lid back and them wait 4 minutes.

Looks good. Have you tried the BBQ stone/steel/iron and grill technique? It's pretty damn good aside from the lack of natural smoke flavour that you obviously get more with the BBQ :)

I have had good results with this setup, does take AGES for the stone to come up to temp though. You can fake a wood burning oven by sticking your Log/Pellets/Chips/Whatever your preferred wood form is in there as well.

Did you make the pizza base yourself or was it bought?

Made it myself, stuck to the same recipe for a few years now;

600g '00' grade flour
1 tablespoon of olive oil
teaspoon of sugar
7g of yeast activated in 100ml of warm water
pinch of salt on one side of the bowl (important to avoid killing the yeast)

Add more water if needed.

Kneed the mixture for a good 4-5minutes until silky smooth, then leave to rise for a couple of hours.
