Band Aid 30

You could reasonably easily just give that straight to charity, without any third parties taking any cut of the money.

All of it is from iTunes its just a platform for release

I don't get the negativity here. It's 99p Ffs and it if helps one tiny bit then it's worth it

There was already a thread on this topic but not linking to song TBH.

Birth control would be the only real help.

Also never have or will use Apple software on my PC.

Peeps are sick of charity as there is far too many these days and these has-been stars coming out the woodwork to get in public eye again mainly for self gratification and publicity.

What on earth is the relevance of birth control or Apple to a virus that has the potential to hit humaity hard and has certainly caused social and economic devastation in the areas it has alrerady affected?

Donations for ebola are not a typical donation.

99p is an amount most can afford. For many, that goes for a fiver, maybe a tenner, maybe more. I'll gladly take a minute extra to contribute more and know that it actually helps.

I don't condemn these shows, as far as awareness is concerned they certainly help out but I can't help but think that this is 90% "oh my I'm helping people out look at me" and 10% "I'm helping these poor folks out, regardless of my public status".

50 million 99ps is like a lot :p

45. 5 million

Africa where it started (look in link in OP), beyond help as they overbreed.

Going on that logic it's the fault of around 50 million people worldwide, but mostly in the western world, that died of influenza in the 1918 pandemic? Perhaps we should have practiced birth control?

It's OK. You bury your head in the sand and everything will be OK.

Look at the world. It is a fragile place. Does it matter that your 'neighbour' is from another country when they need help?

Give your money then and get of others cases.

If you don't want to donate then don't. But why bother replying to a charitable thread telling people to get off your case? The simple and sensible approach is to just stay out of the thread rather than blame victims.

I tell you what... I will not only give my money but I will donate an extra £5 in your name tomorrow.

Because someone has to care and you have made your moral position very clear.

PP me the £5 as gift (no fees then) and I will give it to the Local Children's hospital or dog shelter in my name along with my own ongoing donation. :)

Nope. I will donate to the charity under discussion with the extra £5 as discussed.
