Bono is never far away when there is a chance to preach.

Maybe instead of avoiding tax he could give some more of his wealth to charity?
 
Approx 5000 people have died from this virus.

I heard on the radio that 30,000 OAPs died in the Uk winter last year due to lack of heating

800,000 uk citizens suffer from dimentia.

I think they have their priorities wrong.

Nick Ferrari's numbers :D. Look, it's not Geldof's duty to replace government apparatus and provide pensioners in G7 leading country with decent benefits. Africa is his blues. This blues is for Africa. Nobody is forcing you to buy into it. You can't look at charity that way, you can't ask "why donate to Children in Need when we have grandmothers in need" and you certainly shouldn't look at it in terms of "not enough of you died".

Personally I think Sir Bob is making mistake for the third time in a row by not involving US artists in his endeavour. At least Band Aid 1 had enough big names to leak across the ocean and spring USA For Africa to action. This year it's more of a Brighton Pier calibre in terms of international recognition, I'm not sure anyone across the ocean will feel jealous enough to add to the effort.

I always find it disagreeable when rich men like Geldof demand money from us shortly after they have been dropped off from their island tax-haven retreats by their private jets and ferried to the 'show' by top-of-the-range cars.

Sadly, media and celebrity interest is often related directly to how 'cool' a disease or cause is. Google how awful and widespread Rheumatoid Arthritis is and you'll probably be surprised by reading how many in the UK have to cope with it - I'm fairly sure it is millions of us - yet there is very little presence compared to other 'big' diseases. Especially as it is, incorrectly, seen as an old persons' affliction.
 
I have donated £5 to DEC not to have to buy it :)

Kudos to Sir Bob and Midge, just can't stand the song and songsters (alleged).

Why do you hate Brian May? :confused::confused::confused:

Did you know that he basically kept a roof over Patrick Moore's head and asked for nothing in return? I think it only became public knowledge after Patrick Moore had died.

I think he has done plenty for various charities as well.

Never heard of anyone having any real reason to dislike him. I think he's possibly had a couple of affairs but nothing sinister.
