Recently invested in some EK thermosphere blocks for my 970's.

About to get some of these to cool the ram.

I am unsure whether they come with adhesive, and even if they do, whether I should something else, like

This

Or

this

they come with adhesive, dont buy any new stuff as there just no point. 3 of the chips you cant even get to as the block covers them.

I just wasn't sure if they adhesive would be strong enough - didn't want them falling off and shorting something.

I realise I can not get to the chips on the back, but not having the fan blowing on to the chips has hindered OC ability a bit, and just don't like the idea of not having on anyway.

buy a full cover block is the only way to sort that out, yes the adhesive will be upto the job.
the problem you have is no matter what you do your OC will still be low because of the chips you can't cool, that why there is no point fitting the sinks. fit a fan instead
