Guys.

I've just ordered a B Grade Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 on OCUK. It was £50 less than a new one, this seems like quite a good saving. I know these are likely to be returns, maybe due to coil whine? I'm not too worried about this though (unless it's really really loud).

When I get it, I just want to run a quick test on it to make sure it's all ok. Is there a good diagnostic application that I can use to do this? Is GPUz sufficient? I don't want to stress test it or anything (I've never OCd my graphics cards), I just want to make sure the card is ok and working within normal parameters/temperatures etc.

I can return it within 14 days if there are any issues.

Any advice from you gurus would be appreciated.

I would not have ordered B Grade from anywhere else, I trust OCUK so happy to take a chance.

Thanks.

I really don't think OCUK would sell a card that is known to them as faulty, to cover themselves they would have done a full test on it I'm sure.

Coil whine, possibly, but broken hardware?...no.

I'm think the Distance Regulations are changed now. You can't just send it back within 14 days for no reason. Only if it is faulty.
You paid £50 less but did you get the free game offer ? Warranty is also only 90 days.

probably coil whine.

if you get the free game aswell its nt bad but without it you may aswell just got it new and sold game and have the warranty.

wish you luck. they are great cards though

You can send it back for any reason, however You can only inspect goods "as you would in a shop" and notncause any damage ornthey can charge a restocking fee, so arguably with second hand goods you can test it because it is already used

If it is faulty or not as described then you get a full refund plus retirn postage

B-grade products do not come with free stuff, so any free games, NO!

Promotional items are only included with brand new stuff, b-grade stuff is not new, it is used and working un-wanted product. Normally from DSR for some reason or tested internally etc.

Is manufacturers warranty still valid on B grade?

Yes but OcUK will have no interaction after the 90 days is up, we sell at a loss and as such no profit in it for us so any warranty after the 90 days is between the customer and manufacturer.
