I don't mind lingerie, though it can lift and separate a little, and isn't that comfy really.

They are called pants, what the hell is wrong with you! Location does not equal America, therefore pants are pants.
I bought my girlfriend some underwear recently. She's Indian, so I looked at women with a similar skin tone on the website and then just chose what I thought was sexiest of that selection. Bought it all online...turns out I ordered slightly the wrong size bra though.

How do you know she won't like it? How do you know my wife doesn't get pleasure from making me happy? I certainly get pleasure from making her happy? I also like to look well dressed for her - she chooses some of my clothing - she wants me to look well dressed as do I. The same goes both ways.
So yes you are making an assumption. Not all of use live like you. My wife has no problem with this. She makes an effort to look nice it's part of our routine. She always dresses nicely for dinner with hair and make up done. I always dress nicely for dinner. It's part of us showing we don't take each other for granted after all this time and keep the effort and dedication we showed to each other at the start.
