Dragon Age:inquisition

Always a rogue for me! Don't want to get this yet as I have too much else to play at the moment but I'm so tempted :p

Only had a quick go, character creation takes me a while! It seems good so far, can already tell there is a lot of meat to the lore/characters

Visually its as i expected, a tad underwhelming compared to most modern games however its size and content should make up for it :) frame rate seems a tad choppy during cutscene convos but may just be me being picky

*just an edit to say this doesn't mean it looks horrid or anything, i have only played about 30minutes actual gameplay. But just remember its a cross gen game so some assets may not be pushing the hardware as its made with last gen in mind.

Should get an hour on so in after gf goes to bed!

So possible daft question but how accessible is this to someone unfamiliar with the franchise? I dabbled with the first game but life got in the way and I haven't really had the time to invest since but really like the look of this; Is there any way to get upto speed with the story so far (like the digital comic in mass effect) ?

Cracked and ended up buying from US store, good so far but only played a hour or so. But you can tell right off the bat its deeper than DA2.

Ran in to my first ingame glitch / bug. Hope this is only one of few

That's not a bug. I think you must have equipped the "Enchanted Moon Walking boots of Jackson".

I briefly played the first 2 but didn't really get into them. This one has me hooked though! I didn't bother getting up to speed with the story and I don't feel like I'm missing anything.

I've put quite a few hours into it since Tuesday and still only level 8. I just can't put it down, even with the pile of other games I have to get through. Absolutely loving it

Thanks for that!
Picking my copy up tomorrow and really looking forward to it.
Nice to hear the positive vibes :)

Anyone else find the combat to be a bit overwelming to start with? May be doing something wrong but it feels a bit messy to me! The first boss fight was all over the place but maybe im doing it wrong :D

I'm finding it alright, but I'm an archer so can just sit back and pew-pew while Cassandra does all the tanking. Not had any trouble yet, apart from the rift in the middle of the farm that for some reason has much higher mobs than anywhere else round there. Was too late before I realised, haha :D

Ha fair point! Im 2h warrior atm, it seems ok. Not saying combat is hard i just dodnt really know what was happening most the time :D! Will give it a good chance or re roll something else before i get too far in!

Exactly the same, playing on hard and even dropped the difficulty down to easy and still get the crap kicked out of me on the farm rift :(

Left after dying the 6/7th times to level up elsewhere and come back later.

The game is ******* huge, done about 6-7 hours and literally just scratched the surface on the first map!

There's a couple of those level 12 rifts knocking about in Hinterlands. I'm up to level 10 now and have been cutting through level 12 stuff in The Fallow Mire, so I'm going back and having a bash at em, hate leaving uncompleted quests in areas.

Thinking about rerolling my char, only 2 hours in so no big loss! Dont really like the way he looks and the class isnt suiting me really! Best to decide now than 50hours in :D
