I've got a whole bunch of old (and newer that I don't like) clothes in the car to take to the local charity shop. By the way, I signed a form so that 25p goes to cancer research for every item of mine that they sell. Worth doing next time you take stuff to charity.

Anyway, my question is, what do I do with this leather coat? I bought it quite a few years ago from a shop in camden for about £150. Can't remember if it was late 1990's or the early 2000's. I bought it a size too big plus I decided I never really liked the style. In other words, a bit of a dumb purchase. It's not been worn that much, is in excellent condition, no cracking, no tears. It's very heavy to hold. Should I try and sell it or just add it to the charity stuff?

How much could I realistically ask for it?

Maybe have a look on Fleabay to see if there are similar jackets to gat a rough idea on price. Remember to factor in fees and postage if you flog it on there. Or there's Gumtree of course where you will not have fees or postage to factor in so ask for a bit lower.

This is what I did with a couple of my missus's fur coats when it was so un PC to have such items even though they were only Coney which is basically rabbit.

It doesn't quite work like that.

They claim an extra 25p for ever £1 of the item that sells. So if they sell something for £1.00 they get 25p extra making the sold item worth £1.25. Or if item sells for £10, they get £2.50 extra giving them £12.50.

Not bad.

Depending on you having paid enough Tax to pass the threshold :)
