Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2014, Yas Marina - Race 19/19

My modest tuppence today :

Lewis : awesome start awesome driver, so good all season. Peed me off at times being the petulant child but like his dad said, it's his emotions, he is just the same as he was as a little boy wanting to win. Us the viewers want to see noble, win worthy men, who win our hearts. At the end of the day, they're not performing for US, they performing to win, for themselves. I can easily dislike whiney kids, but when they show such talent and drive to win then hey, ruthlessness is what makes a champion.

Ricciardo : actually my driver of the day, despite the lack of coverage and the great drive from Lewis and the Williams, look how well he did. Come on rbr, give this guy a better chance in the future. I want to see him win a championship. To me he has the ruthless tenacity like Lewis, but on top of that he is the likeable character all the time much like I mentioned Lewis often isn't above.

Rosberg : as a brit, I actually feel very sorry for him and did early on in the race. He didn't deserve this kind of race. It was absurd to suggest he might consider taking Lewis out to win. He could have easily done that when Lewis came out behind him from the pit and took him. Part of me feels he is still an immature driver, part of me thinks he would have benefited at somewhere like Williams where he had to fight others and not just Lewis. Then step up to the new merc. It's like he expected the championship from the outset. In fantasy land now, I kinda wish Schumacher stayed for a few years and was still at merc driving the best car. Could the old man have taken it? SMR being such a Button fan, I'm sure he'd agree? (freak skiing accident pertaining of course!).

Alonso : big fan, my favourite driver, disappointing for him but honestly a good result in the WDC for him given the circumstances. Next year an unknown quantity and I really hope his team comes up as a surprise and makes the season more exciting between even more than 2 drivers.

Vettel: commiserations that your career looks set to be shrouded in just money and no more titles.

Maldonado : summary of your season. Even your team laugh at you. Him and perez, I won't be disappointed to see the back of them in f1

So, British F1 World Champion, British GP2 World Champion, British GP3 World Champion and British WEC World Champion.

2014 ain't been a bad year for British drivers really.
