I have recently re-installed Richard Burns Rally and am loving it on Oculus Rift DK2.

The problem is, I am only playing on an xbox 360 pad so its good but I think a wheel and pedals would be better.

I also own Assetto Corsa

What would you recommend as a mid range wheel and pedals? Years ago I did own a steering wheel, I think a Microsoft one

Do pedals come as just brake and accelerate or with a clutch pedal too? Richard Burns you can use manual clutch option which I think would be really fun (but hard) to use if the physics and everything is like a real [rally] car.

Also, are grears flappy paddle or can you get an actual gear stick?

G27 I think is the one I've seen.

Its not cheap but its bloody good

Watch squairrals Lengendery Trucking stream on Twitch - he use's it and its very good, proper, three pedals and gear stick

Thanks. Yes, I had a look at the G27 actually - I think if I was going to spend that sort of money (£280) I would go for the Thrustmaster T500 RS even though its £80 more. Having said that £360 is a lot of money for something I may only play a few hours

Is there anything in the £50 range that has both wheel and pedals?

Isnt the thrustmaster 1080° making 180 not seem that 'huge'

Surely with 1080 it would be like driving a boat rather than a car. No car I have ever driven can turn the wheel 3 full times

Not sure about the Thrustmaster, the Logitech DFGT/G27 is 900°, and even their cheap PS2 wheel was 270°. The profiler software can set the amount of rotation to prevent it being like "driving a boat", unless of course I'm playing Euro Truck Sim 2. ;)

As for real life, pretty sure my car is 3 turns lock to lock...

You'd be better off trying to find a 2nd hand Momo/Logitech wheel/pedal set.

Kudos to you for playing RBR the Best driving game there has ever been.

Thinking about it I think I still have my old Momo upstairs, Where are you located ?

If you're local I'll get it out & see what it's like after all these years & if it works etc I'll post a proper For Sale ad so we don't break any rules. :)

OP, hope you have installed RSRBR 2014 mod as well, if not you are missing out.

I did and it adds loads of cars and tracks but enb does not work with oculus mod - http://www.kegetys.fi/oculus-rift-mod-for-richard-burns-rally/
It also made the game go from 2gb > 32gb so I scrapped it as not too bothered about extra cars and tracks yet

I'm in Leeds (central) messaged you :)

Well, i bought a g27 yesterday but returned it a couple of hours later. Way too much hassle and took up loads of space for 2 games i am playing - burns and assetto corsa. In RBR force feedback, clutch and gear stick was not detected either. Maybe if i had a games room in future i would get one with a chair but not when i just have a small desk and only play 2 racing games
