Hey everyone, I'm looking for some good speakers for listening to music and gaming but mostly for music. I won't mind if they do not include a subwoofer as long as they have one integrated like the Behringer B1030A for example.

I would love to get the Behringer but they are too expensive :/ I was looking for something around 150-200£ for this Christmas as there might be some deals or even black Friday :D

Any suggestions :P ?

have one what integrated like the Behringer?

There are a used (returned) pair of Behringer B1030A on the rain forest at the moment for £180, why not snap them up?

Those Behringer's are 2.0 not 2.1 I think you've got your facts confused OP, but if you're looking for 2.0 I can give you some recommendations.

Yeah, I got a little confused there haha. I'm not very good at this when it comes to sound systems but yea I need some 2.0 speakers at a decent price with a good bass for music :D :D

The Microlab Solo9C 2.0 at £150 would most likely be the best for music at that price range and deliver a huge sound image due to its phyical 6.5" midrange driver and 6.5" bass driver, however the issue is that they are bloody huge, and is not meant to be used at close distance to the listener (i.e. on a desk which the width is not deep enough), and its rear should be good distance away from the wall or whatever's behind it as well.

These look and are amazing o_O but my desk is only 50 cm "deep" so this would be literally in my face :D + the monitor would be sitting in between 4 magnets.

A2+ are good speakers, and going by comments for the A2, have decent bass for their size; however, they are small. 2.75" for a woofer is small. Smaller the woofer, less bass it can put out. If you want some good bass from stereo speakers, you should be looking at speakers with at least 5" woofers I would have thought.

Uhum, as I said I really don't know what I need to be looking for :D Maybe you have a good suggestion about good ones ?

It's a fair point.

From what I have seen of comments from people that have bought Microlab Solo speakers, they have been very positive.

Personally, if it was me after some speakers for music with £100 to spend, I'd go for the Edifier R1600T III. Smaller woofers though, 4" compared to 6.5" in the Solo's. I'm not too concerned about plenty of bass though.

I bought my Solo7C for it was like £103, and it should be largely similar to the 9C but without the digital/optical input.

Between my 7C and my Edifier 1600T Plus, whilst both are great for music, I find my 7C overall better with comparable clarity and mid range to the 1600T, but can go deeper and can produce larger sound image (possibly thanks to the dedicated bass drivers and being phyically bigger and using larger driver units).

If they are to go against a wall then the Edifier 1600T would still be better as they are front ported, the rear ported Microlabs should be at least 8" from the wall or the bass will sound boomy.

I think you mean the 1600T III right? Cause the my1600T Plus is rear port need to be good distance away from the wall as well, otherwise the bass would sound very boomy as you said. Also the 1800T III has more power than the 1600T III, and is £15 cheaper.

There's a B-grade Solo6C at just £55 at the moment, which is an absolute steal at that price.

The only 1600T you can buy is the version III so I didn't bother stating the version number.

I agree on the 1800T, that is a real bargain at the moment.

I know, but I just so happen to have mentioned my 1600T Plus before you post, just thought it'd best to clarify rather than confusing OP :p

My 1600T Plus is pretty useless if its rear is too close to the wall lol

So I just got home and read everything you guys said. From what I can see the Edifier 1600T and Solos 6C are the two main ones I should be aiming for right :) ?

The 1800T III is more powerful than the 1600T III and cheaper (strangely enough).

Consider your desk's depth and that your speakers will probably sit close to the wall behind it, the 1800T III would be a better choice than the Solo6C, as it is front ported not rear ported. Also the 1800T III is angled as well.
