I'm in two minds about whether this deserves it own thread but here goes.

I'm currently in Perth visiting the parents and have managed to get my hands on a KFC Double Down Burger! Lucky as well due to the fact it's only on a limited run here. In Oz its called a "Hash Brown Double" and comes in Original Recipe or Zinger guise,. I went for a Zinger since in this part of the world it seems a little nicer than at home.

They are made to order and come in a gold envelope style thing that you tear open, as you can see I didn't really follow the instructions but never mind.

*Verdict*
As we can't get this in UK so I can safely say I totally overhyped myself and was left feeling a bit meh. Taste wise it was good. Due to me not eating it in the "correct" way i.e. with the foil thing wrapped around it it did get a bit messy. The sauce in the middle which is the same as the Supercharger Burger sauce is definitely a good idea. All the fat from the chicken, bacon, hash brown and cheese made me feel sick and the spicy sauce was a welcome addition.

I am not a huge fan of fast food but do get the very occasional urge for a KFC or Maccies. I enjoy the standard line of burgers that KFC do but this just felt a bit silly and bit of a novelty. I can't help but think i'd of enjoyed it a bit more if there was a bit of lettuce in there.

That's pretty awesome :) Can't say I'd want the hash brown in the middle but the rest of it sounds tasty.

I'm also not a fan of low quality fast food but very very rarely I get cravings for something like this.

That would be pretty awesome with a tortilla wrapped round it and some salad, Mayo and hot salsa.

On the note of fries the fries here are seasoned with like some strange spicy seasoning, like you would find on wedges and are served in a box, very nice. I enjoyed them more than the burger lol.
