Hey guys

I am wanting to get a new headset. Could I/should I get a sound card. Only problem is this:

Is it possible with the graphics card so close? It would them ultimately block one of the air intakes.

Thinking about getting this sound card, would it fit?:
YOUR BASKET
1 x Asus Xonar D1 7.1 PCI Sound Card £49.99
Total : £55.97 (includes shipping : £4.98).

Thanks for and advice

Fitting one in that slot wouldn't be a good idea as it would starve the GPU of cool air.

Get an Asus Xonar U7 external USB sound card - every bit as good as the internals without the hassle of trying to cram it into the case. It has a very good DAC and decent, though not overly powerful headphone amp, plus it has sockets for up to 7.1 audio channels and to cap it all off it gives you a volume control knob right on the desk in front of you.

well for starters those wireless headphones are USB, so don't use a sound card, they have have their own built in.

Wireless is not a great idea for gaming because it introduces Lag, which is the last thing you want for FPS gaming.

If you have any spare PCI holes in your case just below the motherboard, you could buy a PCI express extension cable, the same ones they use for mining. I have a similar setup and have a cable going from my x1 pcie to a spare PCI hole in my case for the sound card.

Ok. I only game lightly in bf4. Would I notice lag at all?
